I mean metaverse development is still in the early stages and there is no significant adoption by people. Many metaverse-based crypto projects have failed on the market. I think that's because they were too early in developing the idea of a metaverse and didn't see current technological developments.
moreover, what truly defines metaverse anyway im still kinda confused, even meta (formerly facebook) are gaining difficulties making metaverse popular the VR they produced despite has been giving significant improvement toward the devices overall still seemed to be something experimental even there are not many people fancy it making it super niche market for meta thats also the reason why their stock plummeted.
i guess you are right that we are still in development and really early stage of metaverse because overall these metaverse just doesn't really live up to the expectation.
even decentraland and sandbox isn't really that popular.
