I think Benzema is doing the right thing by thinking of leaving Saudi Arabia at the earliest opportunity. The criticism towards his performance there must have crossed the line that it led him to delete his Instagram account. 
Benzema is one of the great centre-forwards I have ever seen and it would be lovely to watch him in Europe again if possible. But a return to Real Madrid doesn't look possible. If we watch him playing for a powerful European team again then I think he will start showing a much better performance than now. He is 36 years old but I would like to remind that it was only two years ago when he won a Ballon d'Or.

If he returns to Europe, I doubt he will be able to play in an elite club and even if he can get it, it is very possible that his playing portion will not be too much in each match and maybe if he wants one of the clubs in the Turkish league will like his presence but of course his salary will be much smaller or he could play in Ligue 1 because one of the clubs is reportedly interested in making him a player only he will never get the same salary as he gets at Ittihad FC or even when he is still playing for Real Madrid.
The internet and social media bring out the worst in people. So it is always going to be like that. I just wanna talk about a point. I think a lot of people know about Shakib Al Hasan, the best all-rounder in cricket. He is currently the most hated person in Bangladesh. He is literally the best player in the whole world and the people of his own country don't respect him. But that still doesn't phase him. He is still unfazed. I think every player should have a mentality like him. This generation actually can't do anything except talk trash on the internet.
Anyway, I don't know how this decision from Benzema is going to turn out to be for his career. He might not have the best time in the top-level competition also if he decides to leave the Saudi league.
