I haven't read about the reports of Newcastle United management reaching out to Jose Mourinho on a potential deal to bring the Portuguese manager to the St James Park but if the rumor is true, then I think it'll be a very good move for Newcastle to bring Jose Mourinho to the club.
Newcastle United delivered a very good performance last season in the English Premier League and that was why they finished the season in the top four ahead of traditional clubs in the league like Liverpool, Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur etc but they've not been able to replicate same feat this season so if they can successfully bring Jose Mourinho to the club, he's going to significantly improve the performance of the team. Mourinho has go all the needed qualities as a world class manager to succeed at Newcastle. Hopefully for the two parties, it ends well and finalized
In my opinion Newcastle United really wants to make a total change by bringing in Mourinho a pioneering coach with experience at several clubs including the trophies he has presented. So this decision would be very appropriate for Newcastle United management to take in making changes for the better. Newcastle needs Mourinho strategy to take advantage of the abilities of each player and I believe Mourinho criteria are very appropriate to regain control of England.
No doubt, Benzema was the iconic player and effective machine goal of Real Madrid. Although he is not really popular with France national team, but he is very famous in Real Madrid because he performed impressively. However, I really don't expect to see him again in European league. He already noted great history in Europe, don't ruin it by speculating to play again there. If he played badly, there will be always criticism wherever he plays. Even, there will be more criticism if he played under performance when he returns to the European league.
I am curious why Saudi Arabian clubs other than Al Ittihad have not shown interest in Benzema, because instead having him return to Europe is not the right decision at his age, who is no longer as productive as when he was still at Madrid. I am not underestimating Benzema, but indeed his golden phase in Europe cannot be repeated again, Europe now has a new era and healthier competition from young players who will be his successors. At least this decision should be reconsidered because his salary is also quite high and in Europe, especially the Premier League, a large salary will always be a heavy burden for Benzema. Moreover, Manchester United, which is under Ten Hag's control, will not give special treatment, just like Ronaldo who returned to Manchester United.
