But even though the result is a draw it won't make PSG drop from the top of the standings because they will still be champions of Ligue 1 this season because in my opinion there is no competitor who is really consistent in breaking their dominance. I didn't watch the match in full but after seeing some footage it seems that PSG is like lost confidence in playing in the second half so they couldn't anticipate two goals from the Brest team which balanced their game, obviously that's impossible but this is football.
Sure! it won't fall from the top of the standings because previously it had a 5 point gap from Nice while Nice is not a threat to PSG whose performance is stronger and for me a draw is better.
I watched the match but it seemed like the PSG players, especially the defenders, were a bit tired so they lost concentration and were unable to block the Brest players so they conceded.
Mbappe, who is PSG's mainstay player, was unable to do anything because he received a yellow card so he couldn't perform optimally, rather than forcing himself to appear tough and causing disaster with a red card.
I consider this a surprise but the most important thing is that it does not affect PSG's position.
In a game many including bookmakers had predicted that Paris Saint Germaine were gonna easily win, Brest came from two goals down to draw against the reigning French Ligue 1 champions and that has made many to come up with the opinion that Nice might just overtake current French league leaders Paris Saint Germaine and probably win the league at the end of the season.
As far as the French Ligue 1 is concerned, there's no team in the league that can measure with Paris Saint Germaine in terms of quality of players and that's why I don't even consider any of them to be competitive enough to stop the French champions from retaining the league title at the end of the current season. Paris Saint Germaine biggest issue id you ask me is to have a good campaign in the UEFA Champions League competition that'll probably see them reach the final of the competition this season and that I think will be very difficult but with the presence of their current manager Luis Enrique who's won the competition before with Barcelona, PSG I think has all it takes to not just reach the final but to also win it
