It is rumored that Hansi Flick will be Xavi's replacement next season. We know that there is still speculation about who will be Barcelona coach next season and the former German national team coach seems quite worthy of the position left by Xavi. He has a lot of experience as a coach and we know that when Germany won the world cup in 2014, he was the coach at that time. Plus, he was also coach of Bayern Munich for two seasons.
I think Barcelona has found the right coach and maybe it's just a matter of how Barcelona can convince Hansi Flick to want to become coach of the Blaugrana squad. Competition is increasingly fierce and Barcelona doesn't want to make a wrong move in choosing the right coach. While Hansi Flick is not managing any team, they have to move quickly to reach an agreement.
Laporta is an admirer of the modern German coaching school and their fast-paced brand of heavy metal football.
And Flick is not the only German touted as a possible replacement for Xavi. The other big name is Thomas Tuchel.
But Laporta will most likely not rush into making a final decision because they have not been able to improve their financial condition significantly.
For Laporta, the right coach is one whose potential success can convince members to vote for him again when the next presidential election is held next year
