They should be one of the best teams at home because especially their fans are numerous and more hyped than most of the other fans, but Borussia Dortmund doesn't have a quality team. They are far worse than in some of the last seasons. No superstars in their team at all. I know it is impossible to replace a player like Haaland and there was nothing they could do about his decision to leave the club since he had a release clause, but usually Borussia Dortmund had very strong strikers. Now that's not the case anymore. Fullkrug scored 3 goals, which were 2 penalties and 1 ordinary goal. But they are a Champions League team and in my opinion Fullkrug is not Champions League level.
Dortmund are looking worse because they want to be worse, this is what I can say at this point because there have been times when this same team have had good players who could have helped them get that which they really want to get and possibly win the German bundesliga buy then they preferred to make more money with trading their players.

This season earlier dortmund did appeared really strong a team buy it's really baffling how they are now worse than they have been both last season and in recent times aswell. Dortmund used to have good players and a very formidable team thst can help them achieve all that they want to achieve at any time buy then I think since they are good with it, ithey can still continue in that light if they want to, they can still continue to groom some new talents and this time they should be ready to keep them and make sure ro achieve a lot with them before letting them go.

This proves that you don't understand the difference between a club that is a publicly listed company like Borussia Dortmund and other clubs that have no responsibility towards their shareholders. Dortmund has never decided to be bad and they have never decided to sell their best players because they wanted to make a lot of cash. It was quite the opposite. They did not sell Lewandowski, but instead kept him until the contract ran out and then he went to Bayern for free. But Dortmund has to do sustainable business and if they don't see a way out of a situation due to contract duration or clauses that allow the player to go elsewhere for a fixed fee, then they have no other choice but to play by those rules. This has nothing to do with Dortmund wanting to be bad as you put it.
