This depends on country. Some country election has turned to do or die affairs. And this is because the governmental sit gives out opportunity for embezzle money. Politics are somehow risky in such country.
We all know that elections are held in democratic countries but there are many dictatorship countries in the world where no elections are held and no trouble is created.There is more or less tension and trouble around elections in every country.Especially since most of our South Asian countries are democratic, elections are held here.
I think there are some members participating in the election who think that if they win the election they will just grab money but there are some good candidates who work for the development of the country.
