All of the top teams in the league play excellent matches, with the exception of Barcelona, who I felt did not play well. Barcelona struggled mightily to defeat Osasuna, but Victor Roque's goal late in the game gave Barcelona the advantage. Meanwhile, Atletico Madrid proved to be a formidable opponent, defeating Rayo Vallecano. Although Atletico made mistakes early in the league, I don't think they will play poorly this time around. Instead, I think they will find a way to guarantee themselves a spot in the champion league the following season.
Real Madrid's performance against Getafe yesterday demonstrated their ability to win the Liga. Although I had anticipated Getafe to score at least one goal back, Real Madrid's defence players denied them a chance, and their custodian is even more formidable than any of them. From the looks of things, Real Madrid will not allow Lunin to leave; instead, they will allow Kepa to return to Chelsea, as Lunin is currently outperforming Kepa. Additionally, Joselu is playing like a striker now that he is healthy. His performance yesterday was excellent, and if it keeps up, he will be a huge asset to Real Madrid.
In a few recent games, Bilbao have been able to show strength and charisma to winning games. They've safely been tagged underrated and not really focused on but looking deep, they're making waves. Even their betting odds would speak for them. They are a team practically growing into a La Liga threat club.
They've had competitive games and ensured they kept up their pace making the result of the game be either to their favour or a fair draw. Girona and Vallecano are a testament of the fact. It's good how Spanish teams are starting to face the uprising of the beat and live through letting just 3 teams be the talk about of the league. Currently the likes of Girona, Real Sociedad too and definitely Bilbao are outshining in their deeds and it's amazing to watch how football has become even more interesting this season in the Spanish league.
