With Ruben Baraja, Valencia continues their rise. They're back to their glory days. 5 wins in the last 6 games, the only loss was against Atletico, an acceptable result. Valencia will do everything to finish in the top 7 of the league, I believe they will succeed.
Today against Almeria they played a superior game. However, I would say the decisive moment was the missed penalty at 2-1 and Almeria's failure to score on the return ball. Pepelu's penalty kick hit the post and Almeria on the counter-attack came close to scoring through Ramazani's shot. If the score had been 2-2 it would have been very difficult for Valencia in the last part, but luckily they didn't score.
The positive results that Valencia have had in recent matches have made them a bit different and started to move into a position in the upper standings.
Honestly, this is a quite extraordinary increase for Valencia, especially if it is compared to the last few seasons they were in La Liga, then indeed this season the improvement is very pronounced for them.
Baraja is taking Valencia in a better direction and indeed things like this are actually very good for them because after all, by looking at their names in the past and compared to the last few seasons the difference is actually quite lame and this season Baraja made a little difference and this is a very good thing for Valencia.
At least even if in the end they are in the middle of the table this season of course this is still very good when compared to Valencia last season which was quite difficult to avoid the relegation zone.
