The reality is, eth is only the pure altcoin among available cryptocurrencies. Others cryptos will come and go, keep changing but eth is still on its position. After btc, eth is the only crypto that ensure you best investment. Many L1 altcoins already in market, considering them ether killer but eth is still dominating the market & hold its existence since a decade with favorable blockchain network and advanced technology
Ethereum is really worth the investment, since it is the most highly correlated with Bitcoin we always expect the price to keep soaring high as long as Bitcoin experiences a pump including also during the DIP but there is a correctness of continuity in the market unlike other Altcoins.
For now Ethereum is the father of altcoins and there is not disagreement about that. Ethereum had been in that market for years now and it and been maintaining a good atmosphere and supporting projects but the problem is that the transaction fee is too exorbitant. There should be something to be done to prevent the depositing if the coin. Maybe in the future something might be done to help more users to join the project. After Bitcoin, Ethereum is the next project with huge market capitalization.
