One common gambling mistake is the tendency to chase losses by making larger bets to recoup previous losses. This behaviour, known as the "gambler's fallacy," can lead to further financial setbacks. Gamblers need to set limits, practice discipline, and recognize that each bet is independent of past outcomes.
This is being greedy. Doing this is tantamount to throwing away money as this method will only work if we have an unlimited supply of money. I believe everyone has experience this, when we lose we can't accept it so we chase our losses and we continue to fund our accounts so we have a chance to win back our losses. If everyday we end up winning, then everyone will be happy, however, gambling doesn't work that way, most of the time we loss.
