If the demand for bitcoin continues, we won’t see any chances bitcoin going extinct. I believe that’s mostly applicable for some shitcoins and altcoins in the market that have no potentials to increase their price. When all the crypto traders and investors chose to ignore them, then it’s highly possible that we will see them getting extinct in the long run.

But not with bitcoin that is highly profitable and most in demand crypto investment these days. However, this is only on how we see bitcoin these days but maybe in the future it’s still possible to go extinct.
