Like in South Africa,  it was easy for Nelson Mandela  to fight for good governance because  he was fully supported by other citizens  of South Africa .
I wish Nigerians would work together to support our president in this way, but we never think the same way, all we do is criticise each other's political party, we ignore the hardships in the country, which is why our politicians always brainwash us.

The only way corruption like this can  be defeated by a president who is different from other leaders who have served in the past, is if the citizens of that country can fully support and stand by their president. If other bad politicians sees that majority  of the citizens  are against corruption,  I think it will be tough for them to go against the president.

The late President Musa Yar'Adua had good intentions to fight corruption in Nigeria, but he didn't make it due to the illness that led to his death. We don't even know if the illness was actually the cause of his death or if it was a politician's plan. Also President Muhammadu Buhari made every effort to fight corruption, to the point that he was poisoned. I've seen numerous videos in the media of some of our politicians claiming that people are pursuing their lives in an effort to fight corruption. What benefit does corruption provide that people would attempt to kill you or even take your life?
