I agree with the first statement but not the second. Why would you ever consider trading back to fiat? I would rather see Bitcoin drop to 0 before trading back to fiat.

buying nice things ?

I'm pretty sure many are getting back quite some life changing amount and they will consider cashing out a part for ... see above

I prefer to buy things i need over things that are nice.
For now, i'm satisfied with my current life, so no real need to change it.
At least not this early Wink

that's exactly what I'm talking about: for some it's not early anymore and they are sitting on a 50x or 100x

and btw buying things you need is nice as well... isn't it?

Nope. Not in my understanding. When i don't need some thing, i likely wouldn't buy it. So it's not quite nice if i have to...
That's also the reason why i actually repair most of my stuff if it breaks. I just don't want to buy replacements for stuff many people would just throw away if malfunctioning.
I like to live on a small environmental footprint, too. Regarding special hobbies, i am open to the more "nice things" side of purchases, but i usually think at least twice about these.

I had times in my life when I coudn't get the stuff I needed (basic things, even food).

So being able to buy stuff that I have to buy is very nice for me.
from what I know, everyone's lives experience from childhood to adult wasn't same. Some didn't had the luxury of enjoying what they are opportune to be capable of  today  and for such set of persons they really want to enjoy now what they were unable to while growing up due to their weak financial background back then.

but this attitudinal way of thinking may be different to some other person that had a beautiful childhood of having access to almost everything nice that made life beautiful for him. The taste to mostly get nice things than just only the things you feel needed will  differ between the individual's.
