I seriously doubt that Mbappe will get there, I understand that many people want to see him play there but I really do not think that it will happen. There is a big possibility that we are going to end up with Mbappe just staying at PSG for the near future. I know that rumours have been around for years now, but after this many years of it not happening, I do not think that it will happen again.
Mbappe likes to wait until the last moment to sign his contract because he makes the team forced to pay him a lot, that is his method and he will wait until the very last second to make PSG pay as high as they could, and threaten them with leaving for free, so team goes "instead of losing him for free, lets pay a bit more" and he gets richer that way.
It is interesting to see the different point of views here, but I am quite certain that Mbappe will leave PSG this summer. I think by now he understood that if he wants to win the Champions League and if he wants to win individual trophies then PSG is the wrong club for him.
Of course it can't be denied that Khelaifi could be playing the money card again and offer him an absurd amount if he extends his contract. But since Mbappe is now soon going to be a free agent, he can make a lot of money from a signing bonus and I believe that this is what Real Madrid is preparing at the moment. I guess PSG would have to pay him half a billion to make sure he would want to stay and even then it is questionable. Apart from the fact whether it is even possible because of financial fair play.
If Mbappe will again be disappointed in the Champions League this season, I think it would be another good reason for him to draw the proper consequences.
