I want Leverkusen to survive until the end of the season and win a trophy because if it continues with Bayern Munich the Bundesliga will be boring.

Xabi Alanso managed to take advantage of Bayern Munich's wide play, because before the match Alonso knew that Bayern Munich would play by pressing high against Leverkusen's build-up. In that match, Xabi managed to damage Munich's structure by luring Munich to the wing, and then Leverkusen made a quick attack to the other side or attacked directly when Munich's defense was not yet perfect. This strategy was successful for Leverkusen, two Leverkusen goals were created with this pattern.
Indeed, in this match Leverkusen was not dominant in possession of the ball, but the Leverkusen players controlled the match through out-off-possession situations. They control space, can trap when Munich has the ball, so Leverkusen players know when to press, know which areas to press, and they patiently wait for Munich to hold the ball.
