1. I don't see any valid reason why Bitcoin can't surpass Gold?

3. Nope, even though Bitcoin isn't yet become the best investment for Average Joe, but government already try to regulate Bitcoin and tightening the laws about Bitcoin.
There was a proposal issued by FinCEN to declare any form of privacy methods are illegal, this will force people to lose their privacy.
Some people invest in Bitcoin because the value keep increasing and they can protect their privacy, this could make people to convert their Bitcoin to Monero.
