I see so many people that come around here sharing how much bitcoin they own...don't. Just like any of your finances such as your portfolio or how much your annual salary is..it's no one's business but your own. Being transparent about these things can be harmful to you in a multitude of ways. As an advisor this is something I tell my clients all the time. Your financial info is private and should always remain that way. I hate these new social media trends where people walk up to strangers on the street and ask things like "how much do you pay in rent" or "how much money do you make a year"...ignore them!
What you said is actually right, people always have that habit of trying to know how far you have gone In life or the achievement you have acquired so far. And that stuff leads to enviness and hatred. I have met several people who always ask me what I do? how much do I make or earn just as you said? But I literally don't give them a listening ears. Because I knew they are always upto something. Then I realise some quote I came across on Facebook that say. No body loves you, you must try as much as possible to treat yourself good, because people always come around you when you have. But when you are left with nothing they go there seperate ways.
Self security is very important in cryptocurrency, because your asset is you privacy and you privacy should be kept secretly to avoid hackers to penetrate. If you wallet has been compromised no body will be held responsible for it rather you. Many wallet has been hacked many years and currently. Do to pass phrase misplacement or indirectly reavieling wallet adress to strangers. some are even close or trusted friends. In the cryptocurrency investment there is nothing like beat friend or brother, except your next of kin. And that will even work after the demis of the original owner.
