England should be happy that they won at least once against the Indians on their own turf because I was expecting them to get whitewashed pretty comfortably considering their current form.
Bazball has proven to be an overrated approach which works only under specific conditions. England needs to adapt better to different conditions.
India would have won the first match too, but their batting lineup collapsed unexpectedly. I was also thinking that India will whitewash England in this test series. England batting style was standard in the first three test matches. They couldn't follow the Bazball strategy in this condition. Although I thought that England might get some success through the Bazball method in the second innings of this match as the pitch was looking good for batting. But the failure of their top order batsman has proven me wrong.
