In the end we must realize that if we expect Chelsea to become champions it is an impossibility and something like that will never happen so there is no need to expect something uncertain because we must know from the beginning of the season we already realize that Chelsea will not be able to get it especially with the overhaul where there are so many new players and new coaches there.
Chelsea's focus now is not to win but as much as possible they should be able to restore their form that was lost in the Abramovich era and improve their position to be better than last season.
This is a difficult job with new players and coaches where in addition to them having to adapt, they also have to build chemistry from scratch so the discussion of Chelsea and the championship in the EPL will sound ridiculous for now because after all with their current performance expecting them to win is an impossibility especially when discussions like this are done now where we know Chelsea still cannot be consistent with the performance they run in matches this season.
That’s right mate, this is why they have to continue trusting the process, little by little they will fix up the pieces, like you said the team is under new management and the new management thought it was wise to invest in young players and there are not doubt that they’ve got some talent in the teams like the likes of Palmer, Enzo, Gusto, Nkunku and the rest. These players sign a long contract with the club and might seem to be a profitable investment for the owners. Just like every other club that went through same phase their comeback don’t usually happen in one season. What their fan need to be happy is that their owner is ready to spend on the club at this slightest chance he gets. So yeah the fans need to be patience with the players and coach allow the team grow through one more season they can just add a prolific striker to their team to solve their goal scoring problems.
For Chelsea to return back to their champion status, they need a few more season to build up momentum, for this season they should just aim at qualifying for the Europa League at least that will boost the boys morale and it will give them room for improvement. Next season they can build from that momentum and aim for better positions in the league but to do that they need to go to the market and look for a goal scorer. A clinical finisher, that can finish off from where Palmer lay off. And I saw in a twitter post that Brentford Ivan Toney is on the Chelsea list, which is not a bad idea. Ivan Toney will provide a lot of trait in the Chelsea side, he is a player who is used to the fpl system. So adaptation wouldn’t be an issue for the Englishman.
