Let me assume you made a mistake here, cryptocurrency could be Bitcoin and other alternative coins. But saying that altcoins are riskier than some other cryptocurrencies is just not the right use of words, except you wanted to write Bitcoin in place of cryptocurrencies.

However, it will be indeed good to be careful when dealing with cryptocurrency as a whole without leaving any of them behind, not even Bitcoin. Though the risk of investing in altcoins is higher, many are still investing in them and are smiling over their crypto wallets. I believe that if one can't risk, one can't gain, and the higher your risk, the higher the gain could be, so this is a choice, not a reason to be afraid. For me, the risk in cryptocurrency irrespective of how risky it is is so minimal but the investors have to be more managerial in handling them, but not as scary as some people would make it look.

Presently, I have enough in my altcoins arsenal and I've never been afraid of any a bit. And guess what? The fact that I can risk in them has been helping me more, and all of my altcoins are in profits, so you can see the reason why I will not preach fear into the minds of anybody, but rather encourage them unless I am selfish. The only warning I can issue is that people should first learn the crypto asset they want to invest in so that they are not scammed. Once the project is genuine and valuable as well, it's only a matter of time that it yields for you. Also, you have to learn the cryptocurrency season, the season works in cycle, and there are bearish and bullish crypto cycles. Anyone wanting to maximize their earning potential should only invest in cryptocurrency during the bullish cycle and entirely avoid it during the bearish cycle. Just like what we are experiencing now, the bullish cycle is active, it only started earlier than expected this time. Any investment in the next 1 year and some months after can't be a bad decision as far as cryptocurrency is concerned.
