We no longer need to speculate about Napoli new coach, as I mentioned before, that Napoli has appointed Francesco Calzona as their new coach already. He also made his debut as Napoli coach in the UCL vs Barcelona match with the final score 1 - 1. A result that could be said to be good with minimal preparation have for Calzona. If this is not the "luck" result, then there is a sign or a chance for Napoli to improve their game in Serie A.
It's only been one match and we can't show anything and in my opinion what the Napoli management did in changing coaches was a big mistake because there is no new coach who can lift the performance of a team that is slumping without any process.
For this season there are no good possibilities for the Napoli team, they may lose their chance to win any title and it would be better for Napoli to proceed with their new coach to prepare for a better next season.
While there were bad results, Napoli changed the coach in order not to get worse. Of course, it would have been better if he had not changed it, but we do not know the results of the matches that will be played. Maybe if the coach had not changed, worse results would have been achieved. That's why they wanted to evaluate this possibility, I congratulate them on this. Actually, I think they did the right thing.

The idea in most cases isn't that a new coach magically changes the system, the tactics and the players and then there is a brand new team that out of a sudden is a true winner. It is often about giving the whole team some new input and motivation. It's about changing an environment of exhaustion and maybe low opinion of each other.

The game against Barcelona had two faces. The first half I was shocked how bad Napoli played, how little they got into the game and they were almost never able to control the ball for longer than 10-15 seconds. But that drastically changed during the second half where in my opinion it could have ended in the 2-1 lead with them when they pressured Barcelona and also had all the corners, but were not able to convert any of them into goals.

With a bit more luck they could have been off to a great start with the new coach. But he didn't take over a team that was in great shape and there are limits to what a coach can improve within a short period of time.
