I wasn't expecting that the first edition of this contest would get any noticeable steam when I first shared this idea[1]. Thankfully I am glad to say that last year edition had a great number of entries and totally surpassed my expectations. I considered it to be a great success but it was only because of the community support and engagement. Thank you all.
This year I have a new challenge: To surpass last year success. Without further due, I am glad to announce that the second edition of the Bitcointalk Pie Baking contest is now LIVE!
The aim of the contest is still the same - Celebrate the famous Pie day but instead replace the Pie number with our beloved bitcoin symbol.
Prize:
এবছর কোনো ১ম, ২য়, ৩য় স্থান থাকবে না। Per some feedback from last year, it would be great that users could vote in more than one entry. Adding to that I also believe that in such system we should aim to avoid letting votes go to waste. In an effort to strike a balance between ranking entries and making every vote count, this year the voting system will be based on the single transferable voting system[2]. You can see a practical example of the method here[3].
The amount of bitcoin gathered during the event will be distributed equally between the three most voted pies.
Like last year everyone is free to contribute to the prize pool. If you want to contribute to the pot just let me know and I'll update the table below. Currently the prize pool holds the following funds:

Contest rules:
- পাই অবশ্যই আপনার নিজের হাতে তৈরি করতে হবে এবং পাই এর থিমটি বিটকয়েন সম্পর্কিত হতে হবে। আপনার এন্ট্রি কোয়ালিফাই হবে কিনা এবিষয়ে সন্দেহ থাকলে আগের বছরের এন্ট্রিগুলো[4] চেক করুন।
- The definition of a pie, per Merriam-Webster, states:

- উল্লেখিত বৈশিষ্ট্য ব্যতিত এন্ট্রিগুলো প্রতিযোগিতার জন্য গণ্য করা হবে না।
- কোয়ালিফাই হওয়ার জন্য আপনাকে আপনার পাই এবং তার পাশে একটি কাগজে আপনার ইউজার নেম + তারিখ লেখা এমন কাগজ প্রর্দশিত করতে হবে। এরই সাথে পাই টি বানানোর সময় আরো ২ টি ছবি দেখাতে হবে, যাতে বোঝায় যে আপনি এটি কোথাও থেকে কেনেন নি;
- একজন ইউজার সর্বোচ্চ ১ টি এন্ট্রি দিতে পারবে (আপনি আপনার ছবিতে যেকোনো সংখ্যক পাই অন্তর্ভুক্ত করতে পারবেন);
- প্রতিযোগীতা টি দুইটি পর্যায়ে করা হবে:
- ১ম পর্যায় - ১৪ ফেব্রুয়ারি (00:00 GMT) থেকে ১৪ মার্চ (23:59:59 GMT) : সকল ইউজার এখানে তাদের এন্ট্রি জমা দিতে পারবে -> লাইভ কাউন্টডাউন
- ২য় পর্যায় - ভোটিং কার্যক্রম ১৫ মার্চ থেকে ২৯ মার্চ পর্যন্ত চলবে (23:59:59 GMT)। ৩১শে মার্চ বিজয়ী ঘোষণা করা হবে।
- During this phase, users are allowed to rank their entries in order of preference until a limit of 4. You are free to edit the vote until the 2nd phase ends.
- Users that do not support more that one entry are free to vote in just one entry. You just can't surpass the limit of 4 (suffice to say, entries ranked above the 4th choice will not be considered).
- No merit sending is allowed from nominees to users which nominated them
- Independently of the submissions that we have, the prize pool will be distributed between the winners;
