You are right they are easy to understand for experienced people and altcoins are good for investment. But bitcoin is everyone's first choice for investment, the value of altcoins increases depending on the price of bitcoin. If you look at the movement of the market you can understand that when the price of bitcoin starts to decrease then the altcoins go down. I think altcoins are better to hold after bitcoin.
I'm still not brave enough to keep altcoins for a long time, but I'm not so afraid to keep Bitcoin for a long time, especially if the goal is to use it as a long-term investment. I will not spend more money and time with altcoins unless it is only for a short time or for a short time, because when altcoins experience a decline in price it is always more difficult to get better returns in the market. Meanwhile, Bitcoin is very different from any altcoin in that it can return to its previous price more quickly if market conditions are good.
Invest in altcoins for short term goal while bitcoin is certainly for long term. That’s the best way to gain massive profits when bull run happens. But never disregard potential altcoins if you have some. They can be less trusted but they can also give us some unexpected huge profits when we least expect it. I suggest diversify bitcoin some trusted altcoins, you can chose to do that if you have spare money that you can afford to lose from investing in altcoins.
