This is the chance for Barca to takeover second place. Girona couldn't win three games in a row and fell behind Real Madrid. Now their second place is in danger as well. If Barca beat Getafe they will pass Girona. Girona will play with Rayo Vallecano and they have a good chance to win but Barca's win would put extra pressure on them. Getafe is not a team that will give Barca problems but Barca's defense is also alarming so we may see goals from both teams today. I still believe Barcelona will get 3 points at home.
There is no doubt about it...,Girona sitting on the 2nd position is just for the main time. As they are not really met to be in that position with their current form. I got disappointed in them ever since they played with Real Madrid. I know they may not be able to win real Madrid or hold draw against them but I never expect such a great defeat without even attend to score a goal.
I think they are meant to be where they are at the moment. If they were not meant to be there after 25 games have been played, I guess they would be somewhere else. This is really without any logic. They have won a sufficient number of points to be ahead of Barcelona and Atletico Madrid. You can't just say that they are meant to be somewhere else. It is not their issue when Barcelona and Atletico Madrid have huge problems getting their games won. I mean of course it is their business because they benefit from it, but in general following your logic would mean that Barcelona and Atletico are not where they are meant to be and this make absolutely no sense as Barcelona has sucked many of the games they played and Atletico had problems to reach a decent level of consistency. In summary it is well deserved where Girona is and they are exactly there where they are meant to be!
