sometimes we want to be around other people and sometimes it's ok to be alone too in front of the computer
there's also the level of introversion and extroversion that will vary a lot from person to person

Yeah, but there is still a difference between the two worlds.

When you are in a physical space with other people, society is there to bounce your attitude back to you when you start drifting away from normal behavior.

The problem with online presence is that there's a lack of feedback from society so many people end up in a bubble that is sometimes dangerous.

You need to have checks and balances while you live your life as you are constantly moving towards different areas, and society gives you that feedback but online there's a lack of that, which creates more extreme people.
