It was unfortunate for a top team like Real Sociedad to lose on their home ground against a team like Villarreal. Even though Real Sociedad created pressure throughout the game, it was Villarreal who were successful in scoring. The first goal of Villarreal was a good one but the second one was due to the sloppy play, lack of communication and clearing skills from Real Sociedad players. The game could have been different if that goal was not conceived. Real Sociedad would have equalized and it could have been a draw.
The last goal at the last minute came as a counter to failed Sociedad attacks.
This result threatens the chances of Real Sociedad qualifying for the conference cup.
I don't know whether this defeat was intentional or not because in my opinion Real Sociedad's performance was stronger to win if seen in terms of quality and statistics, but indeed football can sometimes provide surprises that we can't expect because after all Villarreal deserved the three points because their success in applying pressure like real sociedad at the anoeta stadium.
The visitors' landslide victory was indeed very good in this match, even Real Sociedad was only able to reply with 1 goal in the 86th minute, but this was not enough to catch up and instead the visitors added to their total goals in the additional minutes.
Please, be aware with the trend happened to the sociedad. This club looked like a strong club but if you were consistnetly watching the result from previous games and it would make you feel it as a common thing. Sociedad has been declining since the previous matches. The club is up and down now. Hard to predict whether it will back to the right track or not.
Im only sure that if sociedad is gonna face another difficulty to beat another club in the upcoming fixtures. Sociedad wasted many opportunities in the match against villareal. Even though it was fully dominating the game but another shitty result showed by attackers.
They were so clueless and villareal used that momentum to give sociedad a surprise. sociedad battered by a club that was placed far below it. It's a shame. Sociedad was fumbled the game Sociedad had a perfect structure and this is where i give sociedad praise.
The attackers were making many chances but they keep being so wasteful. Owning ball possessions, created more shoots compared to the villareal and 1 goal for sociedad. Sociedad could not break villareal down and this is so annoying for all of sociedad fans.
It appears sociedad is getting another disaster that was greatly affecting the performance from the club. The result it was fuckin hilarious. Villreal was only adding more pressure through counter attack.
Sociedad players must be tired with its shitty performance or they deserve to be booed.
