If Lahore Qalandars are to win today's match then Karachi Kings will have to set a minimum target of 180 runs. Because the bowling line of Lahore Qalandars is much weaker than the bowling line of Karachi Kings. After 16 overs, Lahore Qalandars score 123 by 6 wickets. In this case, it is only a matter of seeing how well Lahore Qalandars can perform in the next four overs. However, the batting of Lahore Qalandars is not performing well in the bowling action of Karachi Kings. But Sahibzada Farhan remains unbeaten so far and is unbeaten on a personal 44 runs if he can hold on till the end then Lahore Qalandars can reach 160 runs at the end of 20 overs.
Lahore Qalandars are worst performer of PSL so far, they have lost every game they played so far. Karachi Kings in slightly better position as they have lost one and won one game. Lahore Qalandars are 151 in 18 overs and they must finish around 180 to remain in the contest. Just 12 balls remaining and big hits are required from Sahibzada Farhan who has batted brilliantly for his 67 runs. If LQ lost today then they will be very much out from this PSL.
Lahore Qalandars managed to score 175/6 though Karachi Kings will not find it too difficult to overcome this target. Lahore Qalandars' bowling department has been pretty decent but the overall performance is not as good as the teams at the top of the points table. Now it is to be seen how well Lahore Qalandars can perform and win today's match to secure their first victory in this year's Pakistan Super League.
Lahore Qalandars are playing on their home ground. I do not know if this home ground pressure goes in favor of them or it goes against them. The good thing about the Lahore Qalandars team was that Sahibzada Farhan who was the opener for the Lahore Qalandars, stayed on the crease till the whole 20 over and remained not out. He also scored at a good rate of 160 (strike rate) as he made 72 runs in 45 balls. The probelm with the lahore team was that no one stood with Sahibzada Farhan and they kept losing wickets on regular intervals. I guess George Linde stood in the end and helped Sahibzada Farhan and Lahore Qalandars to reach a reasonable target.
176 runs are not going to be enough for the Lahore Qalandars, if they do not take early wickets. Shaheen Shah Afridi and Zaman Khan (the opening bowlers for Lahore Qalandars) need to strike quick and hard. Karachi Kings are 19 for no wickets down and they have started well. Shan Masood and Muhammad Akhlaq have started good and they would want to continue.
