Arsenal have done it again,flogging Newcastle 4:1 in a game that I thought was going to be very tough.Arsenal dominated the game through out the match,but in the late hours of the match,Joe Willock was able to break the deadlock of not scoring at Emirates stadium for about a decade.The game ended 4:1 in favour of Arsenal,and I believe this one must be a boost of confidence to the Gunners whom suffered defeat in Champions league against FC Porto.The gunners now seat one point behind City and two points behind Liverpool,so the three horse title race is still very active.
I knew Newcastle United was an easy match for Arsenal to win because Newcastle United have been struggling recently to win their matches in the Premier League. With this 4-1 against Newcastle United, the point difference between Liverpool, Manchester City, and Arsenal remains the same, and the Premier League title race is still open for Manchester City or Arsenal to win if Liverpool fails to win it.
In my opinion, the heavy defeat that Newcastle experienced when facing Arsenal last night was a very natural thing, because Arsenal's performance was very good and still consistent in their matches. When compared to Newcastle's current condition, they are at their worst point this season and their game looks very inconsistent and it is very difficult to provide resistance against Arsenal. Plus, Arsenal is playing at home, this of course makes Arsenal's game more aggressive to continue attacking to win this match. The conditions in the Premier League this season are very tight so Liverpool, Man City, Arsenal must really maintain their performance and always play consistently in every match in order to win the next match.
Arsenal is on fire now five consecutive wins before Newcastle game really shows an incredible hunger and taste for success and I wasn't surprise when they thrashed Newcastle 4-1 making it 6 straight wins with 25 goals scored and conceded just 3 goals they lost a game so far in 2024 against Porto in UCL match, there is great desire by their players to win a trophy this season, meanwhile team is now third with just two ponies behind Liverpool and one point behind Man City with 12 matches, I think this would be one of the toughest contest for EPL trophy among the 3 clubs that means every remaining matches count now it's going be a must win match to remain as a title contender.
