Inter were relieved when they scored in the first half, but they also started the second half very quickly and scored two more goals. Lecce completely disintegrated. Inter gets the victory with the high level play of Lautaro Martinez and Davide Frattesi. The point difference is still 9, Inter is going to the championship. No team can stop Inter with this game.
Everything is so easy for Inter in the Serie A this season.
Right now they are 4-0 ahead against Lecce as well. Lautaro Martinez is really on fire! He scored two more goals today and he has 22 goals in 23 games in the league now. This must be like the most productive season of him at Inter. They are really lucky to have a very capable striker like him.There have been rumours about Martinez's possible departure but every time Martinez is simply saying that he is happy to play for Inter and he doesn't think of leaving yet. If I'm not wrong it hasn't been a very long time since he extended his contract too.
Maybe it doesn't do justice to Inter Milan to say that everything is easy for them in the Serie A this season. I think we are witnessing one of the strongest Inter Milan teams there have ever been. The only team I can think of that was similarly strong was the one coached by Mourinho that won the Champions League in 2010 I think. I am not sure what other titles they won during that season and this season they have already been beaten by Bologna in the Coppa Italia, but I think there chances in the Champions League are significant.
It happened quite often that a team that lost a final one year was a big candidate to get into the final and take revenge some time after that lost final. Liverpool did something like that and Bayern Munich also did it a while ago when they lost against Chelsea and then one year later won the Champions League and they destroyed all these teams like Barcelona.
But Inter Milan is unstoppable this season. Martinez again with two goals and I think this guy will be gone after the summer transfer window.
