Sevilla focused on defense throughout the game, but against Real Madrid, victory is always the priority. Real Madrid kept pushing for a win until the final minutes. Then, Luka Modrić came in as a substitute in the 75th minute and scored. Despite being 38 years old, Modrić played like he was in his 20s, securing a late goal and three points for Real Madrid. Madrid managed to beat Sevilla, and following this win, Real Madrid extends their unbeaten streak to eight games.
Sevilla is built on strong grounds, they have balance when it comes to defensive football, in the early minutes, the coach and the players already knew they have no chances of beating Real Madrid but having to settled for draw points which was impossible for them. Sevilla had two options to reach against Real Madrid at Santiago Bernabéu which was either coming out with winning or draw tie while the hosts granted only winning. Real Madrid are topping the La Liga table and the only way to maintain gap interms of points was having winning streaks.
I don't think there's any doubt to your opinion concerning Sevilla's defense and the fact that it's always very difficult to break whenever they're playing in their full strength but because they were playing against a Real Madrid side that's been the most consistent Spanish team since the start of the season, I wasn't expecting Sevilla to totally stop Real Madrid from scoring in that crucial game. Real Madrid's performance in the game was impressive considering the team they were playing against but I think they would've done exceptionally well than they did in that game if they played the game with a full squad. The injury challenges at the club is the reason why they've not been as efficient as they used to be but because of the extremely rich experience of the club manager Carlo Ancelotti, they've been able to get maximum points in some games they actually didn't perform well.

It seems like you are too sentimental about what other members have expressed here. If you are a Madrid fan, of course it is natural that you want your favorite team to win, but there is nothing wrong with fans of rival teams also hoping that Madrid will lose, right?
If you say that when Barcelona won, no one complained, of course you are wrong because as far as I know, many members here also complained about Barcelona and I think maybe the people who complained were Madrid fans, because the rivalry between the two teams has also affected the fans of both teams.
I personally am not a fan of the Spanish league team but to be honest I quite enjoyed the match, winning by a narrow score (1-0) certainly indicates that the match was tough and full of tension throughout the match, if you saw the match of course you know what Modric experience was like able to bring change to the match with his single long-range goal.
Yes, I think that is common among both fans. The bad side of both teams will always be there for their respective fans because basically their rivalry affects many things. I am a Real Madrid fan without hating Barcelona as a competitor, however some Real Madrid fans hate Barcelona regardless of what they have achieved in different seasons.
I would call them hardcore fans who absolutely do not want any better team than the one they support. I tend to be neutral about a match and enjoy it instead of worrying about trivial matters. Barcelona and Real Madrid are two great teams in La Liga, both dominate La Liga with titles and that is why I love La Liga.
Real Madrid and Barcelona are two greatest rivalries in the history of Spanish football and I don't think there's anything that's gonna make majority of both days to start loving players from the other team. Just like you, I'm a Real Madrid fan but unlike you, I do not have passionate love for Barcelona players because I always see them as my football enemy and that's what majority of Real Madrid fans across the world feels for Barcelona and their fans. Majority of Barcelona fans in the other hand also possesses same feeling for Real Madrid players and fans as well. It's a rivalry that'll last till eternity if you ask me abd the earlier we learn how to live with it the better for all us
