Ortega vs Tuporia? it may be just that Tuporia is much more well-rounded and can hit harder than him. if he didn't win with Volkanovski and Max, less chance of winning in fighting Tuporia. Ortega vs Volkanovski 2 would be more possible.
I agree that rematch with Volk is more possible, and I would prefer to see that, but the UFC seemed a bit hesitant to say if it's a possibility. Maybe they have a plan to elevate Topuria to a superstar-level and, if so, they might choose to give him a bit weaker opponent than Volk to make sure he becomes a dominant champion.
Like him or not, Brian is very entertaining and goes all in in all his fights, like his fight with Max for example - he was getting beaten up but kept coming until the doctor stopped the fight.
But maybe it would be better if they matched up Ortega with Volk and let Topuria fight Holloway, but Max would have to present himself really well (not necessarily win) against Gaethje.
I don't think they'll match Max against Volk, as they fought 3 times already.
Brian Ortega's ground game is quite good. Jair cannot keep distance at all. I also felt that he would win against fighters with good ground game, so Brian Ortega would win. Even though he was a little worn out in the first minutes, he recovered well and Ortega finished with an arm triangle. I just heard about the fight, it's ridiculous that they behave like this when there is a good organization, this does not honor the fighters. There is no fighter who can beat Ilia Topuria El Matador, it seems that way at the moment, he said this himself after the Volkanovski fight. Also, I don't think they will re-match, he will probably fight with someone other than the top three, probably Topuria.
If I remember correctly, Ortega was close on submitting Volkanovski, but Alex managed to escape somehow.
Topuria looks invincible right now, but he needs to be tested against other top fighters, to prove he's really that good and it was not all due to Alex's being in decline.
