Girona has 3 easy games ahead - Mallorca, Osasuna, Getafe. I can assume that they will score 7-9 points here and thus practically guarantee themselves a place in the top 4. It turns out that 29 games out of 38 will have already been played and the likelihood that 3 teams at once will be able to overtake them will become even less than now.
The league is not always like that though. On paper, it looks simple. It looks like an easy win for Girona but on the pitch, things can be different. Osasuna and Getafe are mid-table teams that are not so bad this season. They know how to cause issues for their opponents. Girona has a very poor defense that concedes too many goals and that could be a problem.
I don't see Girona falling out of the top 4 anyway. The least they can get is 3rd position.
As for the Athletic - Barcelona game, this will be the last chance for Athletic to enter the fight for the top 4, so they will try their best. Considering that Barcelona is playing poorly, I think that a double chance bet on Athletic looks attractive.
I think I'll agree with you on this. Athletic Bilbao at home is a very difficult team to play against. Barcelona struggles every time they visit that stadium. Considering the current form of both teams, I agree with the double chance of Bilbao.
