Manchester United are good when it comes to cup competition. Last year they won the caraboa cup and we're the finalist in the FA cup where the lost to the eventual winners Manchester City. This draw between them and Liverpool is a tricky one. Both teams can improve their forms before the quarter finals game. So I won't even write off Manchester United to advance in this encounter. Liverpool are chasing the EPL and Europe league, whereas Manchester United are just focus in securing European football next season, so their burden isn't that much compared to that of Liverpool.
Last season was a much better season for Manchester United, and at the end it seemed that ten Hag was able to improve the team, and their results were going up, they finished in the top 4 in the Premier League and, as you mentioned, they were very good in the cup. But this season is not at all similar to the last one, the team had a lot of problems with players who definitely influenced the team’s results in all tournaments, a bad game in the Champions League, they are sure to be left without the top 4 this year, and I assume that Liverpool will be their an insurmountable opponent in the Cup match.
