Those two players are very good to Manchester city and they have brought so much favour to Manchester city and, what they displayed yesterday show that their absence during the injuries is what caused Manchester city to reduced points to this level they are now in the premier league table.
I don't think they will win this trophy this season because, Liverpool and Arsenal have show some improvement that will make Manchester city not to repeat what happened last season in this season, even though Erling Haaland and De Bruyne play the tournament through out.
They have the best team, they won the Champions, they have the best coach in the world probably.
Do they really need 2 players to be able to win?
I mean... for sure they are strong Haaland and KDB but the others 15 top players they have are not bad players.
Actually when a team is good, the individual players in that team is expected to be good. But when a team as a whole is bad, even if the individual players are good, the overall team performance will sti be bad. On this premise, it is important to understand team form is better than individual form.
Although Manchester city team is the best team in Europe, they have suffered a lot of blows especially this season. Mahrez left the team, Gundigun also left the team. This is already a huge impact on the team until KDB went on a very long injury break. Things weren't going well again as we all saw that Haaland stopped scoring frequently until he was also injured. Even if we claim that the absence is not felt, we should acknowledge that their arrival is felt. So, there's always a difference when they are or are not in the team.
