I agree with you. Scoring points against smaller teams is not an easy task in the Premier League at the moment. Nottingham Forest were a very small team. However in today's match we saw that Liverpool team had to fight hard to earn points. Liverpool were very lucky to secure 3 points in today's match. Liverpool won due to Nunez's goal in the 90th + 9th minute of the match.
It looked to be an easy match for Liverpool but they nearly lose two points in this match. Even they created many opportunities but their players did not make accurate shots and at the very ending, Darwin Nunez scored a winning goal for Liverpool at 90+9th minute.
The result is maximum for Liverpool but they had reasons to disappoint with their players by wasting many good opportunities. Absence of Salah and Jota affected their attacking power a lot. Cody Gakpo lost a lot of confidence and I can not imagine he was a very goal productive player for Netherlands in World Cup 2022.
A draw in Manchester City vs Liverpool will pave the way for Arsenal to top the table. However, Arsenal are going to face strong opponents like Manchester City, Manchester United, Tottenham, Aston Villa, Chelsea and Brighton in the future. It is challenging for Arsenal to win each of these matches. Every team is very strong.
That big clash can end as a winner and loser, I don't think it will finish as a draw and one point for each. Both teams are strong but in such big match, they all want three points because they fight each other but with fear of Arsenal will take over their position.
