You are right. Girona fans never imagined that this team would do so well this season. will occupy the top spot in the table. However, Girona seems to have lost the fight to own the la Liga trophy this season so what they need do is to try and maintain the top four positions so that they would qualify for champions league next season, i think that would be the only huge achievement for them this season but as for the league title, they've kissed it goodbye because Real Madrid is not gonna take chances anymore and moreover, they are topping the league table by 7 points already so the ball is actually in their court and they have more advantage to claim the title.
