@NFDCoin - to survive for long time, I suggest that you position NFDCoin well in the beginning. Here is some suggestion:
1) be a good clone. don't do any false marketing and statement about NFD.
2) position NFD as a satellite of Nxt. As long as NFD can operate a blockchain and forging system and keep up with Nxt there is a value.
3) encourage third party to develop and add functions on NFD. Let it be a testing blockchain for many things, which can be a potential thing which can bring some value to NFD.

Thank you for your excellent suggestions!
1. I am very honest about what I will do and what not! On the opening post I state that I will not promise any additional features. It is not even decided if ever any non-NXT features are added.
2. That is the plan. To be a very well working clone, and do things right, instead of rushing new untested releases.
3. It will be no problem to fork NFD code and setup a testnet. But I will never add any potentially dangerous features.
4. I will do that. For now I am just trying to get the userbase as big as possible, because I am a strong beleiver in the network effect of coins.
