In the Athletic - Barcelona game, I expected Athletic to win. I was aware of the risks, but a draw, and without goals, was a surprise. The Mallorca - Girona game was a more unexpected surprise. Girona failed to score a single goal, despite the fact that they are now leaders in La Liga in terms of goals scored. Just an anomalous result.
In general, we must not forget that we have now entered a phase where the teams have “come to terms” with their position, so there will be more unexpected results. For example, Real is the champion, this is already clear. Girona, Atletico, Barcelona in the top 4 and the rest are no longer important for these clubs. Now we need to very carefully choose those games where the clubs will have real motivation.
This result was also shocking for me because I was also expecting 2 or 3 goals in this game while both were doing good but still fail to end the deadlock which was surprising but at the end we have good performance from the both sides and this goalless draw prevent Barcelona from going to second spot because Girona is facing bad time and losing too many games specially their second lost against Mallorca is also surprising for the fans as few days back they lost against in Copa del Rey and now another defeat in La Liga is surely setback but hopefully now they will be able to fight back in coming matches because their bad time is going to be ended while they will host Osasuna if they fail to keep things at the better level then surely they will be suffered.
