Just as the season is coming to an end, Napoli are now getting in form and on top of the game to contest with other teams for the league title. I wouldn’t say it is already too late for them but their consistency in winning all of their remaining matches will determine what will be their fate by the end of the season. The point gap is still very much big but if they can continue winning, some of the teams might drop points and that will help them to go up the standings faster than they imagine now. It was a great win for them against Juventus and that should serve  as a booster to them to take the remaining matches serious including the small matches that they might want to underrate now. They were the league champions last season and it won’t make any sense if they don’t even finish on top four of the standings to get a promotion to the champions league competition again by next year. They now have the decision to make now on what position they will finish by end of the season.
Napoli are now showing signs of consistency under new manager Francesco Calzona, the win over Juventus was the highlight of their best performance so far. Because Lazio and Fiorentina dropping points, Napoli managed to temporarily climb to 7th place in the standings, 8 points adrift of Bologna who occupy the last zone in the Champions League. Previously, many thought that Napoli would suffer another defeat when facing Juventus, but the opposite happened and they managed to get an additional three points. Napoli opportunity to break into the top four is still open, but they must be able to secure full points in the remaining matches ahead.

Bologna, Roma and Atalanta will face tough matches next week, and it is an opportunity for Francesco Calzona to bring Napoli up to 6th place, because they will face relatively easy opponents, namely Torino. If Bologna, Roma and Atalanta lose points, Napoli scenario for breaking into the Champions League zone will be easier. However, Napoli still have several tough matches to face in the remaining Serie A matches ahead, including facing Inter Milan, which is a strong candidate to win the Scudetto this season.
