The indirect victims of gambling addiction are people who care about the gambler. It is on this gambling board that we have read stories like
- a man using his money meant for his wedding for gambling.
- a son using the school fees given to him by his parents for gambling.
As long as the gambler has a family and friends, there will always be indirect victims. It therefore rests on us to help out a brother or a friend who is struggling with gambling addiction that is a way to reduce the indirect effects of gambling.
Sad stories like this I often hear, even outside this forum, often occur in gambling that is often done by someone such as slot gambling which is very popular in my place.
There are many who are addicted and end up using money that should be used for other important purposes, such as for family needs,
for marriage, for savings and even money used for insurance.
Those who are not directly involved will be affected.
So before gambling, it is better to think in advance where the source of funds is used.
I only use small funds for gambling, and it is not related to any needs, it is just entertainment.
