This caught post my attention because I fail to understand the rationale behind your point. This is how I interpreted it:

If icopress remains a campaign manager but is not a merit source (as the situation currently stands), you stating you will never apply to join his campaigns purely on the basis you deem it to be a conflict of interest because he merely asked to be a merit source.
