I was having high hopes of seeing Atletico madrid took down Inter Milan in this round, but after seeing the first game and the lasts games played by the Atletico Madrid is being more and more difficult to see it happening.
They are not playing good in LaLiga also.
La Liga teams comes for the UEFA Champions League title but they're not getting it because the promising clubs are yet to be decided. Don't ever place your trust on these elite teams because the results they eventually generate appears to be inconsistent and confusing most times. For illustration, the exact scenario of Atletico Madrid, they won Real Betis 2-1 and lost to Cadiz 2-0 which is very confusing result. An elite team will not always be in good form this season, rather there are many more actions to be triggered with these teams.
Because of how impressive Atletico Madrid have been since the start of the season and how they've been much better than their opponent in this weekend's Spanish La Liga Cadiz, many gad predicted that Atletico Madrid are definitely gonna win the game or at least get a draw but surprisingly to them especially those that staked on an Atletico Madrid win, Atletico suffered a defeat and couldn't even find the back of the net.
That being said, I would want to correct an impression most of us are having about Atletico Madrid's result today. The fact that Atletico Madrid lost to Cadiz today doesn't mean that Atletico Madrid aren't gonna match Inter Milan when they meet each other next week at the Civitas Metropolitan stadium for the second leg of their game. The UEFA Champions League competition is totally different from the Spanish league and you don't expect a team as strong as Atletico Madrid not to give their best in a game they must win with a higher margin than the result Inter Milan got in the first leg of their round of 16 tie.
