The issues for Bayern were huge already and Leverkusen simply restored the old distance of 10 points. I have just had a discussion in another thread how Bayer Leverkusen might have gotten a bit nervous if they didn't win this game, but now I think this was it. 7 points would have been a different game, but 10 points with 9 games left, I think Leverkusen would go down in history if they somehow get so off track that they squandered this advantage. Now the time has finally come for them to get rid off the "Vicekusen-Curse" 
Xabi Alonso must ensure his team remains stable towards the end of the season, Leverkusen will write new history in the next 9 matches, where I think they will be able to overcome every challenge ahead. The 2-0 victory over Wolfsburg increased their record number of wins, while extending their unbeaten record this season. The curse on Leverkusen will most likely be broken this season, just as they broke the dominance of Bayern Munich who are very powerful in the Bundesliga. The additional three points further emphasize their position at the top of the standings, and Bayern Munich is currently 10 points adrift of Leverkusen. Xabi Alonso certainly will not waste the best opportunity to achieve success, Leverkusen could even have the opportunity to become champions in two other competitions, namely the European League and DFB Pokal. What is worrying are rumors regarding the manager future, which in my opinion could trigger a decline in the Leverkusen squad performance. Apart from all that, Leverkusen is now quite safe at the top of the standings, and no team has been able to beat them this season. Xabi Alonso certainly really understands the competition in the Bundesliga, how the tension is towards the end of the season, because he used to be part of Bayern Munich.
