I don't think we need to talk too much about Girona, I mean their performance will never be the same again next season. There will be players who come and go, as will coaches, so changes in their strategy and opportunities next season are very possible. Think of Girona as a seasonal team that is only good this one season and returns to their habitat next season, unless they get a big investment from their owner.
We really need to continue talking about Girona because the team has performed beyond everybody's expectations. At the beginning of the season, I don't think anybody knows if their performance will be that great. People keep repeating that Girona can't even end up in the top four, but there is a great probability that Girona will surely be in the top four and qualified for the next season's champions league, which is even a great pride to them even though they can't win the league this season.
Next season, it is possible that Girona's performance will be even better than this season's because it is possible that some players may leave. It is also possible that Girona will sign great players; that will improve their performance again. Let us wait and be patient to see how their performance will be.
Girona may need to maintain their performance until the end of this season and they will certainly need to improve next season if they want to compete for the title. But I wouldn't be at all surprised if they ultimately failed.
Presently, Girona's performance isn't terrible; they're putting in maximum effort. However, my confidence in their ability to sustain this level of performance is somewhat limited. As the league approaches its conclusion, there's a chance they could falter. Looking ahead to next season, if they manage to recruit higher-quality players to bolster their existing squad, there's a strong likelihood that they'll remain competitive in the race for the La Liga title. This potential for improvement hinges on their ability to make strategic acquisitions during the transfer window.
