Chelsea fans will be very pleased with how last night game ended in their favor, it would have been a different story only if Newcastle United was a bit clinical in that encounter. Chelsea did very well in holding on to that lead and now the fans are jubilating as if they're back, this is not the first time when they win a game you'd think they're going to use that momentum to play their next game but no, they're going to make a huge mess of themselves in their next game.
A win against Newcastle still didn't move them above any club, still at 10th position on the log with 39pt and I wonder if they still have any hope of playing any European competition come next season. Can Chelsea and Newcastle meet up to play either the Conference League or the Europa League? Because as it is I see both teams in the same mess only that Newcastle are ahead of Chelsea with just 1pt difference, is it possible for both teams or either of them to qualify for the European Competition?
Chelsea to me seems like they're seeing that opportunity coming their way with 10 games to go but can they stop themselves from losing because I strongly believe that they have some games to struggle for before the end of this season.
In terms of assessment, nothing has changed with Chelsea's current position even though they are 3 points ahead of Newcastle. However, mentally this victory at least provides fresh air for the players to be even more enthusiastic about pursuing the top 8 positions in the standings. I am more interested in commenting on Newcastle because this club seems to be sinking from the surface of the EPL. It all started when Newcastle failed from the UCL until now their performance continues to decline and they have lost their style of play. Meanwhile, last season Newcastle was touted as a team that would be a competitor because they had adequate financial support, but in reality Newcastle did not manage their finances well.
I want to correct that Chelsea is in 11th place. They are still behind Newcastle and lost by 1 point. The victory over Newcastle only significantly eases the pressure on Coach Pochettino's shoulders, and they still have a chance to win tickets to the European Cup next season if they play well in the remaining 10 rounds.

In a season when Chelsea caused great disappointment with unsatisfactory results, the name Cole Palmer is a rare bright spot that fans can feel somewhat comforted by. It would not be an exaggeration to say that Cole Palmer contributed greatly to helping Chelsea win 3 essential points to continue raising hopes of participating in the European Cup next season. Chelsea's best signing of the season, Cole Palmer, brought magic with a goal and an assist, giving the Blues hope.
