I'm curious how many believe Barcelona still has a chance to overtake Girona for second place. Although I am aware of Barcelona's excellent performance, they will not be able to pass for first place. However, as of right now, Girona's performance is considerably different from Barcelona's. There is no possibility in which Barcelona can have those opportunities to finish in second place. Real Madrid and Girona are currently now in the same point, which i have doubt that Girona can overtake Real Madrid because I'm very sure Girona will perform well in their upcoming game, which they should win handily to move up to the top.
Girona is only one point ahead of Barcelona and La Liga still has ten games remaining, a change in position is still possible in that time period. Being one point behind Girona is not difficult for Barcelona to move up to second place, I still believe Barcelona is able to shift Girona's position. but it is very difficult for Barcelona to catch up with Real Madrid's points, which is very consistent in maintaining its performance.
Barcelona and Girona will also face each other in week 34, the results of this match will really determine who will be runner up. Girona only needs to maintain their performance if they want to appear in the Champions League next season. Being in the top four is a good achievement for Girona even though they failed to become champions or finished in second place.
