Girona needs to perform better. Currently now Barcelona and Girona played the same amount of matches. And Girona was just able to get ahead of them by winning the last match. Girona also will have to win the next match if they want to stay in the second position. They have to understand that Barcelona is the real competition right now. Because Real Madrid has gone ahead a little too much to catch up. Barcelona on 61 points and have played 28 matches. Girona on 62 points and have played 28 matches. But looking at the next opponent of Girona, I think they should be able to win the next one even though they are not in the best form.
Currently Girona is already under pressure and it can be seen that Girona's performance is declining because of this, there are still 10 matches left this season, there is still a very long way to go and I don't think Girona, who is only 1 point ahead of Barcelona, is safe enough to maintain their position.
In a few weeks there will be a match between these two teams and I think that is the real proof and competition between Girona and Barcelona.
