Well there are over 7 leagues games left to play and it is too early to say that Barcelona are out of the title race in the la Liga, because in football; nothing is impossible. The question should be after Barcelona win to advance to the champions league quarter finals, can they mount a late league challenge
If we talk about possibilities, it really doesn't need to be said now because there are still several matches that all teams have to play, but are you sure that Real Madrid will lose in a row in the next 7 or 8 matches this season? I'm not really sure about that because the quality of Barcelona's players this season is actually not that good and there are still many shortcomings that Xavi needs to fix.
The point gap between Real Madrid and Barcelona is not even about the quality of the both teams this year. If Barcelona are in their best form this season, with the point gap between them and Real Madrid, they can’t catch up with them again and this is a fact because Real Madrid will continue to be at their best for the remaining matches which seems to be likewise easy for them to win all. If Barcelona was their biggest rival this season, an head to head match that will give Barcelona a victory is not enough for them to overtake them in the first position even as the table stands now. Let Xavi fix what he needs to, but they can’t catch up for the league title again in my opinion.
Winning in the Champions League when hosting a bad team like Napoli is a very normal thing in my opinion because I am not sure Barcelona can last long in the Champions League this season.
Napoli wasn’t a poor team and Barcelona really fought to earn their victory into the next round of the competition. In the first match, we saw how Napoli performed admirably well and we all expected them to do better in the second leg which unfortunately didn’t turn out to be so. It must just be one of their bad days and also the lucky day for Barcelona to continue their winning run again. As Champions league stands now, we can’t tell the teams that can last and those that can’t last again in the competition for now.
