Barcelona is one team I thought the will make it very hard for Madrid to claim the Lalliga tittle, but how they made it so simple for Madrid is what I don't even know, and they didn't make any effort of trying to climb up and be closer to them, all they kept on doing was to lose games, which made Madrid top with lots of points.Or are they demoralized as Xavi Hernandez said he is leaving?because it shocks me how the defending champions fell so short and not even give headache to Madrid  in the tittle race.
Xavi Hernandez departure at the end of the season was not the only reason Barcelona performance in La Liga was not as serious as last season, but because Xavi also did not receive full support to buy the players he wanted. Barcelona financial limitations have been the root of the problem for a long time, so even Xavi forcing himself will not make his squad ideal. Barcelona has so far been able to survive quite well rather than being below the top 5 in the standings. And with a minimal composition of players, Barcelona is trying to keep securing UCL tickets rather than having to chase Madrid, whose condition is much better and more stable in terms of players. Currently, with a difference of 8 points Barcelona will have difficulty so the best option they can pursue is to become runners up by shifting Girona above them.

In front of Barcelona there is 1 match that is quite difficult to get through, namely against Atletico Madrid. With high motivation, these two teams will definitely play a tough game and it will be difficult to predict who will be able to get the full 3 points. As usual, Atletico Madrid will play at home and this is a positive point for controlling the game.
